Hi, I'm Barry Howard. I've had a lifetime of varied jobs, including (but way more than) truck driver, computer tech, DJ/newscaster, and carpet cleaning business owner. Now I'm a voice actor - with a "lifetime" of experience.

My passion for narration is based on the conviction that it's time to make a living at something I truly enjoy. I have always loved to read, and had used audiobooks for long trips for over ten years. When I took a trucking job, I hit the "play" button big time, absorbing close to 500 audiobooks in about four years. At the same time, I've been to seven (as of now) training seminars, where I've met a bunch of great people. (The people in this profession, as a group, are among the nicest I've ever met.) I've done one soon-to-be-published audiobook project, A World of Assassins by Neil Davies, a sci-fi/crime novel. This will be one of the "brave new world" of digital downloads.

In my life beyond voice acting, I like to ride, wrench, and customize my old Honda cruiser, play wallyball and pickup basketball, play with computers, dig jazz and blues, and follow Cleveland pro sports. I have a sweet wife who gets some of my time. Our kids and grandkids are scattered across the country.
